STUDENT-ATHLETES

With MCK, College Admissions and Athletic Recruiting Come Together

For a student-athlete, finding the right college requires more than determining where you can compete. The right opportunity must work athletically, academically, personally and financially. MCK brings a distinctive perspective to this process. Dr. Christopher Kaiser spent more than three decades in higher education, including serving as an academic point person for Division I athletic programs in Men's and Women's Basketball, Cross Country and Women's Soccer, specifically. His work included supporting student-athletes and participating in the recruiting process, providing firsthand insight into what happens on the college side of the conversation.

Today, MCK applies that experience to help prospective college athletes and their families navigate recruiting alongside the broader college admissions process.

THE MCK ROADMAP

1
DISCOVER

The rigorous MCK intake: Who are you? Where are you today? Where could you go?

MCK college coaching really helped me navigate the college process when my guidance counselor was no help. I was given guidance on how to write my college essays and what the admissions office wanted to see in a student. I was given tips on what to expect from an interview. At the end of the process I got into my top schools and I now attend Fordham. Couldn't have done it without their help!

Kaiser helped me through the process of finding a college and then writing my letter. He also wrote me a letter of recommendation and made the process far less stressful and I believe his input in my application helped a lot! He helped to guide me through the process and just made the process so much easier.

Kaiser was such a great help throughout my college application process! He wrote me a letter of recommendation and gave me really helpful advice and feedback on my essays. His guidance made the application process feel a lot less stressful, and I really appreciated how supportive and thoughtful he was throughout the whole process!

SCHOOLS & DISTRICTS

Helping Schools Turn College Planning Into a Process — Not a Senior-Year Scramble

MCK College Coaching partners with schools and school districts to strengthen the college planning work already taking place within their communities.

Our goal is not to replace the important work of school counselors. It is to provide additional expertise, programming, time and resources that help schools reach more students and families earlier and more consistently.

MCK can work with an entire district, an individual high school, a grade-level cohort, a parent community or a targeted group of students.

Student Programming: Freshman-Sophomore-Junior-year readiness, Senior application strategy, college search, applications, essays, recommendations, interviews and decision-making.

Parent & Family Programming: College admissions education, financial considerations, supporting students through the process and helping families understand an increasingly complicated admissions environment.

Customized District Partnerships: Single workshops, multi-session programs, grade-level series, evening and weekend programming, and initiatives designed around the district's existing college-and-career programming.

Collaborative Approach: MCK does not enter a school community assuming its existing program needs to be replaced. We begin by understanding what the school is already doing well and identifying where additional expertise, programming or capacity can strengthen that work.

A relationship with MCK begins with a conversation with us—not a salesperson, enrollment advisor or counselor-matching service.

We personally review every inquiry.
